JP Poker €1k Mystery Bounty

Chris Dowling has emerged triumphant in the €1,100 buy-in, €50,000 guaranteed Mystery Bounty, sponsored by WPT Global.

Dowling laid waste to the 35 entry field having spiked a two-outer to survive shortly after the close of late registration, claiming the first place prize of €11,000 along with €21,500 in bounties, having eliminated four out of the final five players.

Chris Dowling opened to 25,000 and was faced with a three-bet to 80,000 by Veaceslav Jumir. Dowling made the call.

The Tc6h4h flop was checked through. On the 5h turn, Jumir led out with a bet of 125,000 and Dowling called.

The 6d river completed the board, and Jumir checked to his opponent. Dowling moved all-in, and Jumir made a relatively quick call.

Dowling tabled Kh7h for the turned king-high flush, and that was good versus Jumir’s AhQc for ace-high.

Dowling then pulled the final €1,750 and €2,500 bounties.

Ward was drawing thin with an up and down draw versus Dowling’s two pair, and the 2d river was a brick to send Ward to the rail in third.

Dowling then pulled the biggest €11,000 bounty, and takes a significant lead into heads-up play versus Veaceslav Jumir.

Thorne was in trouble with only one overcard versus Jumir’s pocket tens, and his departure was confirmed by the 9c6s6c2h5h runout.

Jumir then pulled a €3,500 bounty.

Chris Dowling opened to 20,000 from the button, and was faced with a three-bet to 60,000 by JP McCann in the small blind. Dowling made the quick call.

The Ah6s4d flop was checked through. On the 7s turn, McCann check-called a bet of 50,000 from Dowling.

The Ac river completed the board. McCann moved all in for around 200,000, and will no doubt have been concerned when Dowling made the snap-call.

McCann tabled 3c3d for two pair aces and threes, but Dowling had the goods with Ad5s for trip aces.

Dowling then pulled a €6,250 bounty, and now holds a commanding chip lead.

Chris Dowling opened to 20,000 from the cutoff, and short-stack Gedas Bartkus moved all in for around 110,000. Dowling made the quick call to put Bartkus at risk on the bubble.

Bartkus looked in great shape with the dominating king, but the Ts6h4s flop put Dowling in front with a pair of tens. The 4d turn and 7h river were not the jack Bartkus required and he was the unfortunate player to bubble.

O’Reilly needed some help from the board, and although he went ahead after the KdJh6s flop, the Ts turn gave Jumir the nut straight. O’Reilly still had outs to the flush draw, but the Tc river was a brick, sending O’Reilly to the rail in eighth place.

Neil Higgins also departed shortly after, having been left short-stacked after his ace-king lost a race to Murtagh Ward’s pocket tens. His remaining stack also went to Jumir after his king-six was bested by Jumir’s ace-nine. We are now on the bubble.

Adrian Thorne opened to 16,000, only to be faced with a three-bet jam to 107,000 by Chris Dowling in the cutoff. JP McCann cold-called on the button, and Thorne got out of the way.

Dowling was ahead in a race, and although he had a sweat after the 9s8h6c flop gave McCann an up and down draw, the Kd turn and Qd river were bricks to send Dowling the double-up.
