Nick Newport opened to 10,000 from early position, and was met with a three-bet to 22,000 by JP McCann from the button. Action folded back to Newport, who thought for a bit before four-bet jamming for 95,000. McCann took some time but ultimately made the call with the covering stack.

Newport looked in good shape with the dominating king, and was still ahead after the KhQh5c flop and 8c turn, both players with a pair of kings, but Newport with the better kicker.
However, the Jh rolled off on the river in cruel fashion to give McCann two pair and send Newport to the rail.
